Two families, three generations, and more than eight decades of furnaces, boilers, coolers and condensers across Ashtabula County.
Henry J. Ziegler founded the company in 1939, back when "central heat" meant a coal furnace and a shovel. The name stuck because the work was good.
In 1980 Dominic Volpone bought the business, kept the name, and carried on the same way — answer the phone, show up when you said you would, and don't sell anyone equipment they don't need. Today his sons run it: Tim, David and Mike, with Natalie in the office.
We're big enough to handle a plant's refrigeration contract and small enough that the person who quotes your furnace is the person you'll see again in five years. That's the whole strategy. It's worked for 87 years.
We make comfort affordable. Not the cheapest bid — the one that's still working when the next owner buys the house.
